I can’t wait to decorate my own home someday. I have so many ideas! There are so many different kinds of decoration and stylesI would love to use, so I have a feeling that my home will be rearranged every now and then… I think the room I look forward to decorate the most is the kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of the home! I also can’t wait to decorate the livingroom. And the bathroom. And the bedroom.Or let’s just say a home in general… pictures from my weheartit profile

DIY: personal day planner
good night, sleep tight, things look different at night
I love to light candles at night, especially now as fall is right around the corner, and the dark arrives earlier and earlier for every night. I’m also quite fond of scented candles. However, it can be too much of a good thing, so one or two enough for my sense of smell. I have one from Senze of Joy/hg collection (you can spot it at one of the photos!) has nice, light smell of lavender, and isn’t too heavy. Tip of the day!
And by the way, if Senze of Joy/hg collection is new to you, you should definitely check it out. They have so much cool stuff, especially pillows, and of course other interiors. The cow pillow, the pom-pom pillows, the brown suede pillow and the cooool skull pillow are all from Senze of Joy, and to not forget the gold sequin pillow which currently is placed in my leather chair. Senze of Joy have clothes and jewelry as well. Check out their website here, and for those of you who are eager to see the interior right away, click here.

frame it
Almost everything can be decorative. A super personal way of art is for instance to put any object you like into frames. Think outside the box! Instead of just using ordinary pictures or paintings, you can pick different materials and fabrics to create your own personal statement. A good example is the picture of the peace symbol I showed you yesterday. You could also search the web for motives or words you are fond of, print it out, and use it as art and decoration! This is such a cheap and original way to express your style.
The limit is actually your own fantasy. In the picture above I very easily took a feather earring, removed the earloop, and hit it into a simple picture frame. Here’s another little DIY project for you. I took an old sequin clutch, cut out the sequins and put it in a picture frame. So easy:

tip of the day: we heart it
A genius place to hit and collect pictures you like is weheartit.com. You can find pretty pictures of just about everything, and make a profile which is completely free. Organize images you “heart” in different sets, and follow people who “heart” pictures you like, which makes it easier to inspire each other! Some of my categories are interior, art, fashion and creativity. Read more about weheartit here, and feel free to check out my profile and follow me HERE, or press the image below.

my hideout part 2
I love decoration which is a little bit different and personal. I find materials like leather, wool, masonry, concrete, rustic metal, wood, porcelain, sequins, seashells, fur, feathers (you get it), very cool and pretty. I love earthy colors, especially in interior which isn’t that hard to tell when you see my bedroom. However, I’ve added a few splashes of colors to my room withsome of the pictures I have on the bookshelfs just to do a little twist. There’s still some decoration and pictures missing, so I made sure to not take photos of the whole room just yet, I’ll save it for you for a later post.
If you ask me to describe my interior style with words only, I would answer vintage/glam, bohemian, natural, industrial and kozy. I like when a couple of furnitures in a home have a little worn look, so the leather chair, which used to be my grandparents, fitted perfectly into my bedroom.
Milla Boutique, located at a interior magazine called House of Oslo (… in Oslo, Norway) has the exact kind of styles I just described, and is my absolute favorite place to shop decoration and cool and unique stuff. The horn with fur, and the little skulls (which actually is soap…) is from Milla Boutique, and so is the little cup with the Eiffel tower print. Visit their blog here, and their webshop here. Tip of the day!

DIY: peace & pearls
A very personal and creative way to decorate your home is to make the decoration yourself! Also known as “DIY-projects”, which stands for “do it yourself”. Besides, it’s much easier than you probably think. This DIY-project is super easy, and all you need is a selection of beads in different varieties and colors, some kind of allround glue (I used a glue gun), a scissor, a template you like, an empty picture frame and white sheets for your background. You can also use a cool wallpaper or wrapping paper if you like.
This time I chose a peace sign as my template. I’ve gotten a huge obsession for skulls lately, so I thought that a skull as a template can be cool to try some other time!
All you have to do is to apply a little glue on each bean and glue it on your template.
When you’re finished and happy with your result, cut out your little piece of art and glue it on a new sheet (or wallpaper or something else). The next step is to frame the picture in a frame you like, place it in a appropriate place, and then you’re all done! This is a super sweet gift too.
